Privacy policy
Last updated: 5 July 2026
This policy explains how we handle your personal data when you subscribe to the Block Factory newsletter or contact us through this site.
Who we are
The data controller is BLFY EQUIPMENT SOFTWARE DESIGN FZCO, IFZA Business Park, Dubai Silicon Oasis, P.O. Box 342001, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Trade licence 76416.
For any privacy request, use our contact form and pick “Support”. We monitor it and will answer you there.
What we collect
Your email address, the platform you told us you play on (Java, Bedrock or both), the signup source (site, Discord, YouTube…), the timestamps of your subscription and of your age confirmation, and your message if you use the contact form. Your IP address is used transiently to rate-limit the forms against spam and is not stored with your subscription. We do not collect your name, your date of birth, or any special category data. This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
We use your email solely to send you release announcements, early access news and sale alerts. The legal basis is your consent, given when you submit the signup form; we record the date and source as proof. The platform you pick is used only to avoid sending you news about a version you do not play. Messages sent through the contact form are used to answer your request.
Children
The newsletter is not intended for children under 16. You must confirm you are 16 or older to subscribe. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16; if you are younger, please ask a parent or guardian to subscribe instead. If we learn that we hold the data of a child under 16 without a guardian's consent, we delete it. A parent or guardian can ask us to remove their child's data at any time through the contact form, and we will do so promptly.
Who processes your data
We use trusted processors acting on our instructions: Supabase (database hosting, EU region, Ireland) and Resend (email delivery, EU region, Ireland). Our company is based in the United Arab Emirates, so your data may be accessed by us from outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards. We never sell your data and never share it for third-party marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your email for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal record of that fact so we do not email you again by mistake. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data, obtain a copy of it, object to its use, and withdraw your consent at any time. The quickest way to withdraw consent is the unsubscribe link in every email, which works in one click. For anything else, use the contact form. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Changes
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
